Dr Spritely was brought up in Smoo Cave, on the North West Coast of Scotland. Her friends were the brownies and faeries who live in the Highlands. The selkies (seal-people) taught her to play the bagpipes and she has never looked back since. One day a kelpie, who is a Scottish water-devil, came out of the sea and Dr Spritely scared him off with her bagpipe playing! It was her proudest moment! Dr Spritely spent much of her childhood picking her nose, which was good fun, but this is why her nose is so red!
